Lago Ritorto (2055 m)

A jewel of a lake in a natural basin framed by a suggestive rocky environment and a panoramic terrace overlooking the Brenta Dolomites (length 8 km, elevation gain 45 m, elevation loss 583 m). This field trip focuses on the geology and thermochronology of the Adamello pluton.

• Departure from Riva del Garda at 7.30 am

• Buses will leave from in front of the Touristic Office of Riva

• Short stop on the way: Pinzolo – San Vigilio Church - a cultural-historical site

• Final destination: Madonna di Campiglio. Arrival at 10.15

• Departure for return to Riva del Garda at 3 pm

• Return trip with no additional stops

Equipment:

We recommend trekking or mountain boots supporting the ankles. Street shoes or tennis shoes will not suffice. Hat, lotion, and sunglasses are advised in the backpack, as well as abundant water to avoid dehydration. At the same time, warm clothes and a rainproof jacket are necessary, in case of bad weather.
